Wanted - Local Delivery by Postcode

I have to say this type of feature would be great. Its really making thhe zone more granular. Not sure how handy this would be in the US, but in Canada this would work great for me. Yes there would be a maintenance aspect to it but it would allow reasonably detailed control on what shipping methods will show.... I have to say customers selecting flat rate when thhey are 400 km from here is NOT a great problem to have.... and either I need to remove flat rate as an option or find a better solution.

Just wanted to ask if anyone was able to come up with a solution for this as I too would like to offer shipping by postcode "in particular free local delivery"

RYK wrote a script that I am using....he charges a small fee but I paid him and he set it up for me.....works great for US ZIP codes. Just PM him.

I have a module that will only become available if the delivery address postcode appears in the list of postcodes in the admin panel.

It works on the earlier version of Zen Cart but I should be testing it with 1.3.5 soon

Thanks for the plug, but I must make it clear that I didn't write it...the original author was Dan Syme. I had to pay for it to be written because I didn't have a clue where to start! However, having got it, I did make some zenhancements myself to try to eliminate customer entry errors.

Just to let those of you interested in a postcode based delivery module that I have one and it works with the current version of Zen Cart.

I am trying to add an extra feature so that you can limit the number of deliveries that can be selected for certain day.

Again if anyone need this code just let me know, I'm still working on the max delivery count part of it but the postcode section is working fine.

I racked my brain forever on this one. Then it finally hit me!

In the \includes\languages\english\modules\shipping\drmdelivery.php file ...

... Change the MONDAYAM in 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MONDAYAM_TEXT_TITLE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MONDAYAM_TEXT_DESCRIPTION', and 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MONDAYAM_TEXT_WAY' to DRMDELIVERY.

Slight oversight, I'm assuming, no offense, on Siege's part. That should solve all your problems. I walked through this with several scenarios of zipcodes. It works brilliantly.

Hi Siege,

I am fairly new to Zen Cart, have managed to get most of my site sorted (www.thepetsemporium.co.uk). Now I only have 1 last thing to resolve, and that is my shipping. But seem to have a bit of a headache here! I have 4 options, free to UK postcode (1 post code), 1 delivery fee to 2 other post codes, another to the rest of the UK, and 1 last one for international. I managed to get the shipping sorted for option 2 (post codes RH & TN), is there any way to duplicate this module so it will work for the above?
