adding net price?? possable??

Hello guys.
Im tring to do something that im not sure is possable.
What i would like to do is have a field for the actual net cost of an item (my wholesale cost) and then have a field that is what im selling the item for (only viewable with admin). The main use for this is so that i can give some ppl a "cost+10%" discount, but since all the markup % are different from product to product i cant just put them in a discount group and give them a % off. (becuase the markup is different on every item).

Is there anyway to set this up. Maybe with tax classes/rates? Or maybe a modual that does this?

I really do need to get this operational on the site.

Im using ver1.3 with the patch.

Depending on what you want and mean by 'some people' this might require custom code alteration.

You can set this up in the attributes to do the +10% on selected products or different cost+ percentages as you need per product.

It is the added permutation of 'some people' that will cause you grief.

You can search here for dual pricing and find several threads on the subject. Here is one recent one and you might find the mod what you need.

Remember that these are user contributed, much like ZenCart itself and as such were probably generated to fit a need. If you find that you like it, but if it only did this; that the author is most likely making their living at this and custom changes are at additional work involved.

ZenCart and the supporting community all have lives & jobs.

yes, i do donate to this project and its contributers.

I found the attributes, but i cant seem to find where you would imput your net cost (only shown to admin) and then add the "+" 10% or whatever it may be. I may need to look for a thread on how to handle attributes...

I looked and installed the dual pricing contrib, but its not exactly what im looking for, however Price Markup Calculater is alot closer to what im looking for. Although i havent figgured it completely out i got it working enough to do what i need to do. Im waiting for the author to msg me back on some things.


If you could give me some imput on how you would do what im looking to do through the attributes, that would be great, becuase i dont seem to find a way to do it.. and i believe that i was told long ago that zc dont currently have any net pricing incorperated into the offical release.
