Hello Fellow Zenners,

The Ajax Shopping Cart Sidebox sounded like a wonderful thing that would have stopped distracting shoppers from their primary task...
...shopping.

Rather than being throw out to the shopping cart, an inplace update to a sidebox would be a good thing.

So what happened? I see no sign of it in the sideboxes downloads.

If I missed something, please tell me. I love good grapes.

I am working on this Contrib that I really like in oscommerce and that seemed to have been dropped...

I'm almost there, except some weird behaviors when the .innerhtml is rendered:

I worked from the oscommerce mod , and the Zencart DIVs don;t exactly behav like tables cell :-) I neeed some some help here:

- the ajax behavior starts after there is already one item in the cart: the first item addition is not "ajaxed"

- it looks like the entire site (and the product listing) is injected in the target div, instead of just the (qty ea. product names)

- I have the "JavaScript code generated by backend is invalid!" message, but I am unable to see what is generated :-)

That would be a good start for now (there are still some little things that will need some fixing after this step)

Hi All,

I just stumbled upon zencart looking for this exact feature. A great example I found is at www.netgrocer.com then click on the grocery tab. It is so slick and smooth and no need to refresh page.

Is this the kind of mod you are hoping to develop? I am first on your waiting list if it is!!

There is no Ajax or whatsoever on this site: there are pages refresh (at least in my apple safari)

This site uses frames, which is a no-no for SEO, maybe this is what you thought was Ajax?

I kinda wanted to figure out how to do it, but I'd be starting from scratch.
