Date Available not showing

Two Problems:

1.

"Date Available:
(YYYY-MM-DD)"
shows up when adding a new product in the admin menu but it does not have a box to enter any information. I have some product that are in the catalog that are out of stock but will be coming back in within a few weeks and I want my customers to know when.

2. When a product sells out it’s disabling it instead of leaving it enabled with the "Sold Out" icon. I have to manually enable the product in admin for it to show up again. Once again this goes back to #1 as well. I cannot add a Date Available.

Admin> Configuration> Stock - Change the settings to suit

Thanks. That fixes the disabled product but it still doesn't give me a box to add a Date Available when I add products.

I am not able to enter a date ANYWHERE not even in the Products Price Manager.

I can not believe I'm am the only one having this problem. Expiry dates aren't being allowed to be added in Specials either. I really NEED to add dates to these things. Is this a bug or what???

In Admin>Specials this is what it looks like..

Special Price:[29.99]
Available Date:
Expiry Date:

nothing after either to add a date...No box, no checkbox, no dropdown menu, Nothing.

Most things I can figure out on my own but this one has me pulling my hair out. I have searched and searched and even looked in the code. I'm just not seeing why it doesn't work.

If you have not customized anything in the /admin directories ... reload the files from a clean checkout of full set of Zen Cart v1.3.0.1 ...

Sounds like something is not loading right ...

What browsers have you tried?

does it with Firefox and IE No difference. I'm thinking since I have went from 1.2.4d awhile back to 1.3.0 is where the change happened. I know I had it with 1.2.4d

I do have a few mods going and I hate to have to reload everything considering my site is JUST starting to roll with a nice customer base. I'm thinking it's just a small code change in a php file that is doing it. finding it and fixing it is where I'm hitting a brick wall.

Something that really helps is Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com ...

You can use this to do an FTP connect to your site and compare it to a clean v1.3.0.1 or whatever the current version you have is ... and see what might have been changed/omitted etc.

Very very handy little program ... I couldn't live without it ...

Maybe I oughta buy stock ...

Good news is that program you suggested is AWESOME.

Bad News is nothing is changed that is related to the problem.

A few index.html, A few images, header.php & footer.php did but only a line added at the end which I knew about.

Okay ... if nothing significant is different in the /admin directory ...

Reload the whole directory to:

/admin/includes/javascript
