extra define pages

If you are using 1.3+ you don't need them - use the built in EZ Pages.

Any tips if you're still in 1.2.x land? I'm on 1.2.7 myself and look to have a lot to add in soon. Our payment mod was giving a lot of people trouble on 1.3 last I heard so I haven't made the switch yet.

Yea, I just found it at http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14985 but it uses a mod "extra blank pages" by NetworkDad so I'll make this the unofficial "please post this mod" thread for the "extra blank pages" mod.

I'm getting really stuck here. Just want to add an extra page to the site that appears in the navigation and can be edited by a non-coder.

Using Zen 1.2.7

1. All previous forum posts about adding extra define pages seem to refer to contributions. The links to those contributions all seem to be dead. Why so much linkrot?
2. Why is something that I would have thought of as a fairly common requirement so tricky?
3. Why is everything defined in three different places in the source. What happened to 'don't repeat yourself' as a basic principle of coding!

OK. I'm just moaning now but it feels good!. Is there something simple I've missed here? I've googled all around to no avail. Thought this would be a five minute job :-(
