Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hello,

Im using zen car vr 1.3.8 with the Apple Zen template. I've searched far and wide for an answer to my problem but to no avail.

Is there any way to change the image placement for the additional images added through image handler? As in, I want different angles of some mantels for our website but it put the images at the very bottom of the product page, and I want the thumbnails beneath the original larger product image. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

I am not sure what happened but it is evident I did something in error somewhere. I have tried to resolve this myself but to no avail.

I need to rid the space under the image on the product page. I also would like to have a zoom button instead of large image wording.

Also when I click or mouse over the image it doesn't do anything. No large image.





Help appreciated.

They both work.. When ckosloff and I tested the current version of IH2, he tested Zen Lightbox, I tested Fual Slimbox with IH2.. I personally chose Fual Slimbox because of this:

At only 30kb Slimbox is a much smaller download than than Lightbox which weights in at over 100Kb. Since JS tends not to be cached so well by browsers this offers genuine speed increases to users. In addition it is powered by Mootools effects, making it much more customisable than Lightbox.

Never have had any issue with Fual Slimbox.. So that's my recommendation.. In the IH2 readme, you notice we took no position on which lightbox module to use either since we found both tools worked with IH2. and based on the respective authors of these lightbox modules, it appears that both were written specifically to work WITH IH2..

I played with both, set up two fresh test sites both identical and the only mod installed being IH2.

both dead easy to install, both easily managed via the admin and by css.

However i noticed that on the site with Fual Slimbox, when i scrolled the background flickered and i could scroll down forever. So i went with zen lightbox. Up on saying that, Fual Slimbox is by far much faster to load images.

both are excellent mods! guess it is just a case of 'suck it and see' for which one to go for...

I can't repeat this behavior on any site I have used Fual on.. Hmmmmm..

I have Zox installed and working in XOOPS. I am having a problem getting Image Handler to work after installing it in Zox. Specifically, Image Handler does not show up under the Admin-Tools menu in ZC.

The Store_Root folder is installed in the Zox Module's root folder, zox, where the index.php file is located. I renamed admin to reflect the proper name for the zox admin folder. I renamed include/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE folder to include/templates/ArkiTEC-HD Black, which is the template's name that I am using.

Then I installed the contents of the Store_Root folder into the zox store root, where index.php is located.

Problem:
In Admin, under Tools, I do not see see a new entry for Image Handler 2, which I can click on to "Install Image Handler". It appears that Image Handler 2 is not installing into zox, which is the Zen Cart Module for Xoopz 2.4. Fual Lightbox is working wonderfully under the Zox module. So, perhaps, I am installing into the wrong folder or template, I wonder???

firsst thing is you really should upgrade to zencart 1.3.8a for security reasons.

also in IH2...in the templates folder did you remember to also upload the files for the classic and default templates? they need to be uploaded regardless of what template you use.

make double sure you uploaded all the files correctly too

This is not completely true.. If you are not using the classic template, not installing the IH2 files to the classic template folder will not affect whether or not IH2 works...

Not familiar with how XOZ works, but if the core folder structure of Zen Cart is the same, you should just install IH2 to where ever your Zen Cart store is.

If that does not work, you may have to work with the XOZ module's author (I believe that is Hira), to see if there is some conflict with IH2 and XOZ.. This is possible given this particular author does have a track record for modules which do not play well with others.. (See WordPress on Zen for an example of this in action..) Hope I'm wrong, but given that you are working in a XOZ environment, it is hard to not factor in the posssibility that XOZ is the cause of the issues you are experiencing..

That said I would double check the install 1st and make sure you didn't miss any of the files in the upload. If you cherry picked files out of the install package, it's very possible that the module is installed incomplete..

I am using Image Handler 2 with Zen 1.3.8 for some reason when I click on the larger image, in the pop up box there is extra space on the left and right of the image. So you have to scroll to the right to see the whole image. Does anyone know where I can fix this?
