Unexplained Forwarding to Wrong Page

Hi All,

I have just installed Zen-Cart (had no errors during install or configuration). I put in categories and a few products. Now when I go to MYURL.com/index.php it shows that it's loading: index.php?main_page=index, but for some reason it loads: /index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=30. It loads that products description page with no problems. But why isn't it loading the Index/Home page? Any help is greatly appreciated!

in your browser look in admin-> configuration-> layout settings
see if open to category is turned on

There was no value in the Main Page - Opens with Category field. Just to test, I tried to enter another category ID to see if it would open to that category. No luck. It's still opening directly to a product.

Any other suggestions?

How many products do you have?

Are you using Categories?

If you only have 1 product and are not using categories ... you will have problems ...

Make a Category ...

Put Products in Categories ...

Categories with 1 Product will go right to the product _info page unless you turn off this feature in the Layout Settings ...

Note: Categories hold Products or Categories and never both

THANKS! I turned off the 1 product option and it worked like a charm! (I'm still stocking the store so not all categories have products yet.)

Make sure that you do not have Products and Categories mixed in Categories ... or you will be doomed ...
