Do you mean there is no more development being done to fix the email problems?

If you are refering to the fix Wilt did in April, the email was not completely fixed. There is still a major problem when a reserve price is used.
Or did I miss a fixed release since the forum format changed?

Their doesn't seem to be away to leave a reply on the new auction mod thread. And it doesn't seem to be locked. What gives?

I think all the old forum threads have been locked into archives. That is why I started this one here in the Miscellaneous category, hoping those interested in the auction would respond.
I'm stuck with the mod working great except the reserve email problem.

Re: Auction Mod

Hear! Hear!

I've just installed this without any problems and it looks *really* good, but there are one or two niggles that could do with being looked at if the developer or anyone else has the time.

Bearing in mind that I'm not a PHP developer (and it has been some years since I coded anything other than HTML), this is what I have found so far...
There is no "record lock" that prevents simultaneous bids, so first time I tried it out, I managed to outbid someone with a lower amount. The higher bid showed up, but lower down in the bidding than my much lower bid.

The product copy (duplicate) generates the following errors:
Warning: reset(): Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/aniamuk/public_html/shopcat/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 29

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/aniamuk/public_html/shopcat/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 30

Nice to haves, if anyone is planning on developing this further :
- A reporting tool for the bid history (not essential), but mainly something that will allow you to see the winning customer as an admin function. It may be offputting to customers to see their name up on the product page.
- A shop notification email to advise who won the item and for how much

Thanks in advance to anyone who has the time or inclination to follow this up

Re: Auction Mod

I have worked on the auction module and converted it for the 1.30 version.
My clients do not complain about any of the problems.
You can download it at http://www.managing-it.nl

The site is in dutch, but you should be able to download it.

I would like to know the problems/bugs in this version.

Re: Auction Mod

I'm still on 1.2.7d. I made a lot of changes and installed several additional modules and quite frankly don't have the time to check every difference to upgrade to 1.3 at present. But I will download your version for future reference, thanks, as this is something I do intend to do - just finding the time in between trying to run the business :-)
Thanks again.

Re: Auction Mod

Can someone provide a working link for the auction mod or email it to me? Manage-it has a link, but no one is able to register for his site to d/l it, and to be honest... I don't speak German and I don't have a clue what the error message is that is popping up.

I would really like to take a look at this even if it the older version.

Thanks

Re: Auction Mod

I've installed the auction mod, including the sql patch, but I see no sign of it anywhere. How does it appear? Are there admin controls? How do I access it or set it up?

The auction controls are in:
Admin-Configuration-Auction Manager
You also have to create a special category for auction products and make your product type "auction".

There is a Buy It Now option. Enter the buy now price in product creation page.
Turn on the Buy It Now button in the admin control.

Re: Auction Mod

there's one thing bugging me about this auction and relation to the shopping cart...

if an item has buy it now price set and a customer comes and bid > it send the item to the shopping cart (as if the customer clicked the buy it now) ... thats wierd...if someone is bidding it means he doesn't want to buy now....
anyone encoutered this issue, or solved it...

using 1.3
