HTMLArea - formatting buttons not showing up in Admin

I've made certain to turn on HTMLAREA in the Configuration->MyStore but when I go to make changes on my Categories, there are no formatting buttons above the category description area. Is this a change from earlier versions of Zencart? (I'm referencing the Zencart Building an Online Store the Zen Way book)

Nevermind. It turns out 1.3.0.1 is different from the v the Zencart book was based on. There is a dropdown for Text Editor that I compltely missed.

the dropdown does not turn it on for me - anyone else having difficulty getting htmlarea turned on??

yes - it still has no effect

ok so i installed a fresh admin directory and same effect

is this defined somewhere in the config / database that i am missing

it seems to be turned off globally

problem is my client uses that functionality all the time

i checked using the firefox webdev extension

it seems like it is giving a javascript error??

is the javascript not loading for some reason

i get the same effect in both firefox and IE

using 1.3.0.1 zencart

i am thinking one of the contribs is buggering it up

what does that error msg mean / where is that defined???

the 2 that could have changed core admin filed are image handler for 1.3 and canada post mod for 1.3

Interesting, I only have a few simple mods installed but one of them is the image handler.
Im thinking it might be the html_output.php file that was overwritten that might be to blame?
