When we receive an order we pack it and place the package on the scale for a weight, then we enter the shipment on UPS Worldship Software on line, with the name of the person to receive the package, his address, a weight, then his zip code and the package size. At that time the cost to ship appears on the screen and we are asked if we want to ship the package, and when we answer YES, the software prints the shipping label to be placed on the package. There is no way to determine the cost until all the boxes are filled in. Also, for the past year there has been a fuel surcharge that changes with the price of fuel and this sometimes changes weekly. Home or rural deliveries cost more than city and business locations. Its all very complicated and the software sorts it out as we enter the information for each shipment.
