The default width in #mainWrapper is 100%. I changed it to 800px and 1000px, it still looks the same size. Please help!

The mainWrapper width for your website is currently 750px. I suspect that you are editing the stylesheet.css in the template_default section of your website which does have a default of 100%. However, because you are using the Classic template, this is ignored and instead your website is using the value from stylesheet_new.css.
Developing new sites by editing the Classic template is not recommended. Here is an explanation of why and a link to a step-by-step guide to a better approach. If you feel that you need a template from which to start developing your own look, this one would be much easier to work with than Classic.Kuroi Web Design and Development | Twitter
