FedEx Shipping Labels

the fedex labels that I was working on was dependent on having a ca certificate installed on the server and my plesk server doesn't have one by default. At that point I had to quit working on it. I'm attaching the zip of the files so far in case anyone else wants to pick up the pieces and try again. I still have a customer who is interested. However, Fedex was telling me last fall that they would be reworking everything within the year. So perhaps waiting is a better idea.

Fedex is a PITA and their rules are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY strict and they change things faster than I could type em in

I used the osCommerce contribution for FedEx labels on a couple of sites, it was a pain to get going but worked good ever since.

Maybe someone can work with this to port it over... If it works with osC it should work with Zen too right?

Here is some info:

## FedEx Automated Labels ##

This oscommerce contribution, when properly configured in a shop with a valid
FedEx account, provides the following:

- From the admin section, a ship request can be sent directly to FedEx for any
number of orders.

- A pickup date can be scheduled

- Shipment and packaging type can be specified

- If an order requires multiple packages, this can be specified,
along with the weight for the individual packages

- When a valid shipment request is made, the FedEx label is returned
(multiple labels are returned for multi-piece shipments)

- Information about the shipment is written to a shipping manifest (new table,
shipping_manifest)

- Through the admin section, the administrator can:

-- cancel the shipment
-- track the shipment
-- view and print the label
-- view and print the shipping manifest for a selectable date
-- purge the shipping manifest data for the current date

- If an order has been shipped, the customer will see an option to "track this shipment"
in the order history. Order tracking is kept onsite, they won't be sent to fedex.com.

and regarding the latest version 2:

Printing to FedEx Thermal Label printer is now supported.

Has been tested on Zebra LP2844.

Printing in v2.0 is also defaulted to Thermal instead of Laser in v1.x. Please note that the Page Setup for Margins must be changed to all zeros before printing to the thermal printer.

This Full Package is built upon full package of v1.2b with contributions up to mthierfelder.

Backup

Add the differences in the following 3 files:
catalog/admin/ship_fedex.php

catalog/admin/includes/english/ship_fedex.php

Copy the new files:
catalog/admin/fedex_popup_laser.php
catalog/admin/fedex_popup_thermal.php

yes, definitely. Don't have time for it right now though. Anybody want to pay for this, I can put it into the schedule but can't afford freebies at the moment. I've put a lot of time into trying to get one working for another customer but have lost lots of money on it so far.

Please note that this module WILL NOT port over correctly
reason,

other shoppiinng cart fedex module runs express and ground together,

zen carts module does NOT

this in turn confuses the hell outta the login in this module,

this is the same module that SED to work for zen but broke when 1.2 was released and we tried to fix it many times,

would require a total rewrite and all new functions,

please remember ZC started as that other cart but unlike them ZC has updated changed andevolved,

Oh, I see...

It's just such a high request feature when we do carts.... What are we thinkin $ money? It might be worth it to my boss to have it developed.
