Any word on this module being ported over for Zen Cart? I have the same need and may just have to go with osCommerce...

As far as I am aware no one is actually working on porting this to Zen Cart. It would be a very large project indeed.

Earlier this year I spent some time trying to run 2 stores (seperate domains) from 1 data base. After a lot of hard work I thought I had it... but no... there were a few issues with adding TAX properly.

I have been looking around for a ShopCart which can run Multi-stores and stumbled across the oscommerce mod today. I would be really interested to see if this can me made Zen friendly.

Just how much work is involoved in porting this mod to Zen, what would it involve?

I'm sorry that I ever mentioned that such a contribution was available for another cart - because it seems to have gotten people's hopes up.

Let me be plain - it's such a large contribution that I don't see anyone being willing to take on the task of converting it. I certainly wouldn't.

I know this is a really old thread, but my employer asked me if it was possible to have multiple sites read product information from a single database. That way updates could be made from the main site and they would populate to any other sites.

It would be great if the satelite sites could update inventory counts as orders are placed, but I could live with it if I had to manually update that.

If I can't do it automatically, could I just export several tables from PhpMyAdmin and then import them on the satelite sites?

Once I had the complete list of needed tables I could even write a script to get them all. (Maybe EZ Populate would be better, I just don't know if or how you can export from it.)
