    Ports and the Firewall

    Hello,

I did attempt to find a posting on this so if this is a duplicate.... sorry.

I've installed zencart on my local apache server and have been using it for development purposes. I now want to be able to collaborate with others on my store in progress.

Viewing the store from my local intra-net works fine. Doing it from the other side of my firewall results in missing graphics and styles. So you basically see the misaligned text-only version.

I've set my apache to listen to port 80. I've set my firewall to forward my computer any traffic on that port. I've also taken to just forwarding random ports to my machine in hopes of solving this.... but it hasn't worked.

Anyone have some light to shine on this?

In your configure.php files you have a setting for "HTTP_SERVER".

This is normally the URL to your webserver.

You'll need to make sure that people outside your firewall can use the same name to access it as what you've got entered in HTTP_SERVER.
