    Default Website Speed

What else can i do to speed up my site? I have already optimized all images, enabled GZIP and turned off manufaturer sidebox.

Also, do you think having quite a lot of folders for categories going to slow down the site?

Have you an URL that we could perhaps peek at to help you out with it?

If you only have 1 currency and one language you can get rid of the languages and currencies boxes as they have no functions.
You can also remove the query number and parse time from the footer.

That will take about 3 seconds.

You can also try some of the suggestions in this post....

    Thanks for all your replies.

Could anyone tell me if having a lot of folders for categories going to slow down the site? I will have about 500 so i need to know whether it will affect the speed or not.

What do you mean entirely on my host? Isn't it going to add on the website size?

Yes its going to add to your site but if your host isnt optomized for e-commerce,
    then it can get slow.

I am not finding a "reason" why you have such a slow site ...

You are not really doing anything that warrants the slow speed ...

How many Categories do you have?

Are you using Upcoming Products? If not, turn that off in the Index Listing sections ... it will help a little but not a lot ...

Check with your hosting site and see if you are on an overloaded server perhaps?
