Calculating cost of product for checkout

I am working on an application of the ZenCart that requires my customers to select a product, enter a dimension ( lenth and Width ) and get a price based on the product cost L x W - then be able to advance the total price to the checkout area. Does the product allow for something like this?

Can you explain it a bit in detail

DO you want to show the Product Cost on the CHeckout Page ? or in the Admin Section.

if its in the admin section, than the mod is ready. But i'll have to add Legth and width.

How do you want it to be calculated , i mean the price, length and width

The client selects a type of blind - then the client selects a length and a width from a table (can be done as a more specific product along with a specif price for each tier I guess ). I was thinking the client can ...... I think I have it figured out!!

It is a lot of work but, I can make each blind color as a category and include thye dimension as the actual product that gets priced. Unless you have a better way to do it. Originally, I was thinking that the user keys in L x W dimension after they select a blind and the cost gets calculated based on that. The cost is then available for checkout. It looks like the other way above may be a lot less painful.
