Default centering of search & other elements different in IE & firefox

    Ok,

    i'm allmost there

    existing 1.26 site:

    http://www.secretgardenflowers.com

    development 1.3 site:

    http://sulserv.dyndns.org/sgf

    here is what is right

    In firefox

    - search in navbar is left aligned
    - in sidebox header text product images and product text are left aligned

    In internet explorer

    - verticle spacing in navbar(s) is too large (margin)
    - one of the '|' seperators are black
    - subcategory bullets are centered - they should be left aligned

If someone could take a look i seem to be adjusting multiple css elements to no avail

    Thanks again

    - Kevin

I am having an issue the category images not centering over the text. What did you do to fix it?

ok so my biggest concern is why the links don't work on the nav bar in firefox
i can't figure out that one at all

is it something to do with the centering?

Re: centering of search & other elements different in IE & firefox

Did you get anywhere with vertically aligning your search box? I'm having problems with this too. No matter where I add a valign tag, it still sits right at the top of my nav bar instead of in the middle. I've tried to move it to the bottom as well, and that doesn't work either. I can move it down by adding <br> in front of it, but this makes my nav bar way too big.

I don't know php too well, but I looked at the file: tpl_search_header, and there seem to be hidden fields below the search related to the results page? I'm thinking that this makes the search element take up more vertical space than what is visible.

Does anyone have any tips on this?

I'm having the same problems with the vertical alignment of my search box too. It so insane that so much time needs to be spent in order to fix the smallest of things.

I'm wondering if this is a bug that could've been addressed by v1.3.5. I've read the readme files for it's installation and it seems way too heavy going for me to attempt it atm.

    Refer to the topic below.
