I get the text below instead of the actual text I guess in the admin section, in the currency page, this is a default installation of v1.3.01
It looks like a php file has some syntax missing or something ? Upload a fresh copy of admin/includes/languages/english/currencies.php - your original may have been missed or corrupted

Perfect thank you Neville, it was at 0 bytes! so was a file close by it, I uploaded the local version (3kb) and all is well. :)
