Removing random products from subcategories

I am currently using Zen Cart 1.2.7d.

When the subcategory pages are displayed, the page displays random products beneath the list of the products in the subcategory. This is a nice feature if you have many products in a sub category, but if you have two products, it will display the same two products beneath it. It looks like a redundancy.

How do I remove the random products? Which template file do I need to alter?

those are your new products - go to Admin > Configuration > Index Listing > Show New Products - below Product Listing and set it to 0
