One question that I'm still wondering. When I do the correct change to the files and point to logo.png why is that everything BUT the logo file shows up. Then if I point it at my other logo.gif, the logo shows up and no background. I wonder why the .png wont show up at all. I am thinking that because I'm using Firefox? It doesn't recognize it. I guess then neither do the IE 6 users. Herm. I see people using font with shadows and making the logo look 3D, I am going to have start seriously asking people how they actually got it that way. I just want the logo raised, contoured and with a drop shadow so it looks like it's floating.

When I look at your site I see the logo.gif and the background. The logo.gif is located in your includes/templates/zcSohoSailing/images directory. However, there is no logo.png in that directory.

As gjh42 said, it is no problem to achieve what you want when the background is solid or changes very little. Your background image (just to prove that I can see it ) sits over the top of that glass block effect and so doesn't really qualify. Though because the image is so large and centered, this is really only an issue if the user narrows their browser right down, so you might want to take a chance and just set your logo against the appropriate piece of your background image.

Alternatively, if you can point me towards some examples of people successfully combining drop shadows and transparency, please point me at their sites. I've love to see if I can work out how they're doing it.

Kuroi, Srry took me a bit to answer what you wrote. I gave up on trying to have a logo.gif and have it be transparent. I just made my tile_back.jpg contain what I wanted it to and solved the drop shadow problem by creating my own shadows and placing them. I guess once I learn enough to be competent in Zen Cart then I will attack my Creative Suite 2!
