shipping setup problem

Hi all
Im setup shipping by zones
Calculation Method - Weight
Zone 1 Shipping Table
3:8.50,7:10.50,99:20.00

Product weight 0.01 lb. Im add to cart 8 pcs
I mean it must be 0.08 lbs

Estimate Shipping Costs
Total Items: 8 Weight: 0.08lbs Amount: $16.00
Zone Rates (Shipping to US (1 x 3.08lb(s))) $10.50

Damn, what is "3.08lb's" ??
I dont understand what this numbers menans ..7:10.50

Hi
Assuming 1.3.x

Check your Admin -> Configuration -> Shipping/Packaging

Under option "Package Tare Small to Medium"
Check the setting i think by default it is 0:3 which explains your 3lbs extra.

Change it to what you want.

Now I see. Default wheight is 3lbs(packing or something else) and + product wheight
