Check the setting on Configuration ... GV Coupons ...
Set this to 4 for now ...Default Order Status For Zero Balance Orders
When an order's balance is zero, this order status will be assigned to it.
I believe this is somethiing that is fixed in v1.3.7 that had a problem in v1.3.5/6 ...
