Problem setting up Paypal IPN

Hi there,
I've read everything I can find about setting up Paypal IPN in the forum but I'm still having problems. Paypal is processing the transaction but the order number on the checkout success page is blank and I am not receiving any IPN info in the admin.
What I have done so far:
Site is normal mode (not down for maintenance)
I've checked and re-checked that my email addresses are the same and that I am using the primary email.
I've checked ipn url and return url and both are activated
ipn_main_handler is in the root directory, permissions are set to 755 and it returns a blank page when entered into the browser
Have removed and re-installed Paypal module
Have checked with hosting company about firewalls

I'm completely new to this, so wondering whether I could have overlooked something obvious or configured something else wrong. Any help would be appreciated before I give up on Paypal!

If I understand you correctly, I have not modified meta_tags and put it in my templates folder.

and while the email adress is correct is is case sensitive?

I'm sorry, I remembered I had customised meta_tags. I tried removing it and it solved the problem, so thankyou very much for the pointer. My question now is, if I want to customise meta_tags, what was likely to cause the problem so that I can avoid it happening again??

Just a little bump as I think I am having the same issue, can you advise as to what may be the cause and if upgrading to 1.3.0.2 will solve this..

I'm afraid I don't have the know-how to help much, but I'm sure someone else will. I only got as far as removing my custom meta_tags which solved the problem. I don't know precisely what the issue is - I haven't got round to trying to replace them although I definitely want to get rid of the default page title and replace it with my store name.

i havethe exact same probem but i removed the custom meta tag file, as in deleted it and the whoe cart doesnt work, index.php crashes. why cant i change the meta data, its soo important. and why is probem related to meta data. really dont understand.

I'm using 1.3.7.1 and had the same problem. Unfortunately, modifying the meta_tags.php file in the original location seemed to cause it too. How can I modify the metatag info without breaking PayPal?
