Required Info in Create Account Screen

Hi, I am desperately trying to UNrequire information in the Create An Account Screen. Can anybody point me in the right direction??

Depends on what it is you do not want required ...

Some settings are in the Customer Details ... others in the Minimum Values ...

How about a clue as to what you need to change?

I would like to UnRequire anything that has to do with a physical address and phone number. Basically, only the customers first/last name, email address and password info would be required.

Telephone number set to blank the Minimum value and change the require * in the define to be '' vs '*'

At this time, there is no checkout without an address ...

Could you perhaps elaborate a bit on how your site works to Purchase and Ship without an address?

I am setting this site up to work without the shopping cart, as I am using it as a Non Ecommerce website with the Call for Price option on all items I will show in the site. I am opting for this shopping cart as I really like the site manager, newsletter capabilities, the gallery set up, tell a friend and product reviews. I love this cart and someday may have the option of allowing online ordering, but for now, I am not... so would rather not have my visitors (who want to sign up for a newsletter) to be required to leave a physical address.

Thanks so much on the phone number issue... that I will change and hope to find where in the scripting I can change the required info for the address.

Aha! A clue ...

I believe there is an add-on for subscribing without an account ...

However ... I am not sure how much this will help you in the future to switch from a Call for Price shop to a live shop ...
