At this time, there is no checkout without an address ...

Could you perhaps elaborate a bit on how your site works to Purchase and Ship without an address?

I am setting this site up to work without the shopping cart, as I am using it as a Non Ecommerce website with the Call for Price option on all items I will show in the site. I am opting for this shopping cart as I really like the site manager, newsletter capabilities, the gallery set up, tell a friend and product reviews. I love this cart and someday may have the option of allowing online ordering, but for now, I am not... so would rather not have my visitors (who want to sign up for a newsletter) to be required to leave a physical address.

Thanks so much on the phone number issue... that I will change and hope to find where in the scripting I can change the required info for the address.

Aha! A clue ...

I believe there is an add-on for subscribing without an account ...

However ... I am not sure how much this will help you in the future to switch from a Call for Price shop to a live shop ...

Again, I am not really sure how soon, if ever, that I will actually change from a "call for price" to a live shop... but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

includes/languages/<language dir>/extra_definitions folder. Otherwise, it will be affected during the next upgrade.

The setting for the telephone require is in the:
/includes/languages/english.php

This would be copied to your:
/includes/languages/your_Template_dir/english.php

Then edit the line:

  define('ENTRY_TELEPHONE_NUMBER_TEXT', '*');
