Editing Japanese PHP

Can anyone tell me a good prog. to edit japanese php files, i tried crimson but that doesn't work.

Anything is ok you just have to make sure its in the right encoding.
eg Shift JIS, EUC etc etc

when ever i try any prog. the japanese never shows up right, is there something else i need to install to make it work?

The reason you cant see the Japanese is probably im guessing because your using an English based operating system so the encoding on all the pages is western and not Japanese.
All you need to do is change the coding method (usually under page properties) and you will be able to see it.

Its definately an encoding issue in your software then.

any tips on what to do? I don't even find an ecoding option in my prog. what do you use?

I use dreamweaver and its an option under page settings.
You can download it for free from their site then google for the serial number.... so I heard

the japanese font pack, is that diffrent from the japanese language tool? if so maybe thats my problem.
