Problems After Install

I have tried installing this twice already... End up with the same error consistently

I don't have any quick solutions for you, but perhaps someone else hosted on an hsphere server may be able to help you .... seems to suddenly be a number of problems reported in the last month by people running on hsphere servers.

You could turn off the "define pages" support as a test .... log into Admin->Configuration->Define Pages Settings ... and set them all to 0 / off.

Then see if you still get the errors on the main page of your store. If so, then there's something confused about permissions to those files.

I don't know anything about hsphere or anything but when I installed my zencart a little while ago I got errors similar to yours. I completely wiped out what I previously installed on my server and did a fresh install with a good ftp program. I had been using SmartFTP and it was transferring files that ended up like swiss cheese. The fresh install worked with no errors. I use Filezilla now, a few people here told me about it. It's been very good so far. I have NO idea if what I just wrote is even pertinent to your issue but I hope it helps a little.

Alright, I turned the Define Privacy Link/Text to 0 on the Main Page, and the errors appeared to go away. So now what?! What does this Define Page Status do??
