Froogle Merchant Center merged into GoogleBase

I was able to set up andrew's contribution almost without a hitch...

a few issues i came up against
1. making sure you not only that you change the permissions of the folder for the feed but also for the froogle.txt file. (if you generate a feed and you don't see any results this is probably your problem)
2. any kind of trademark symbols don't translate well. before you upload you may want to make sure all your product titles and descriptions do not have any of the TM or registered trademark symbols. You can edit them once they're uploaded but if you have quick updates installed this may be quicker from the zen admin.
3. automatic upload didn't work for me. the best way I found was to set up the bulk uploads at google base.

also...you want to make sure and add this little modification http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...6&postcount=39 because I had no errors when uploading and I'm sure this helped.

Now I use htmlentities to convert all applicable characters to HTML entities.

What version you use? I fix it 29th July 2006:

1. Add Encodes an ISO-8859-1 string to UTF-8;
2. Use Google Base fields name.

okay because I'm still having problems with this i think. where can someone who doesn't know how to code PHP learn how to implement htmlentities? I looked around and had a very hard time understanding this.

well, I used the latest version. this fix didn't seem to be in the suggested files so....

anyways, some more help with htmlentities would be appreciated....

I am using the version you had on your site when i installed it last week. It says "v 1.2 21.04.2006 14:15 Andrew Berezin" in the header of the files.

I went ahead and reinstalled the file you have there on your site and didn't do any modification. we'll see what happens.

What is the easiest way to edit the info in the froogle feed file and how do i add attributes to the feed automatically?

This is only recommendation. It's not a critical error.
But, what additional attributes you want to add to the feed?
