Featured Products - number on display

Kind of odd ...

Check again the Maximum Settings for:

Maximum Display of Featured Products - Main Page
Number of featured products to list on main page

Next, look at your configuration table in phpMyAdmin and sort on the configuration_key and find the: MAX_DISPLAY_SEARCH_RESULTS_FEATURED

Make sure that you only have 1 of these configuration_keys and that the configuration_value is set to 6

And you just have to work in the Classic template because ...

For giggles ... rename /includes/templates/classic to /includes/templates/classic_HIDE

As I said earlier ...It was inherited set up with some overrides, some plain overwrites - THEN it was passed on to me due to illness.

It's a complete shambles but I wasn't aware just how bad it was until now! I KNOW that some of the edited files are in template_default, some are in classic and some - well heaven only knows where!!

So - yep, just for laughs, did that...and still only 3!

Lovely FTP interface to compare files to a clean, original version ... find those bad ol' core code changes that should of been overrides ...

Find those goober hacks some stranger did one night ...

Oh yes, I use BC frequently, but in this situation, I've been replacing "suspect" files with clean originals in an attempt to isolate the problem. The fact that you have not been able to suggest a solution that works adds a tremendous amount of weight to my argument that this cart really needs starting afresh rather than trying to fix things that shouldn't have been fixed in the first place!

Peek in the overrides for featured_anything ... and peek at the originals ...

Check them to see what they are using as their MAX value in case it has been manually changed vs using the setting in the configuration on the select statements ...

Linda - I've peeked 'til I'm piqued and peaked with my peeking!

I'm not going to waste any more time on this because the client has decided to live with the 3 and as soon as the store looks as if it's goinbg to be a success, then I'll start rebuilding in whatever the latest ZC version is of the time.
