Default Does it need to be index.php?

I was wondering if I can rename index.php to something else? What would I have to change so the shop will still work?

It would be more helpful if I coud name it something better then just generic index.php, maybe something like candles.php? Candles is what I want to sell. I think it would help for some search engines too.

    Thank you for any help...

In theory you should be able to - BUT - it is possible there are still instances of index.php being hardcoded somewhere and that would break things badly. I would suggest back up, back up, back up and then test, test and test again before trying it live.

As Kim, I wouldn't recommend changing the name of that. Instead try installing SEFU, which will
1 rename all instances in the address bar to be friendlier to search engines
2 keywords to be included in the url
