I wasn't sure how to title this. It's my first step in trying to rectify a problem so I thought I'd start here.
Last night, my host suspended my site because of bandwidth usage. I have 100 GB of bandwidth with them and that's hard to use up with what level I'm currently at selling at my site. They emailed me this:
29125 R hollymccaigdesigns.c 83.33% 0.06s GET /shoppe/index.php?main_page=i
29125 was the process Id of a single apache thread using over 1.3gigs
Now, I see that's connected to my shoppe. They told me that over the past three days they have had to reboot their servers because of this one thing happening. In the past, and with other hosts, I've never had something like this happen with Zen Cart. Even with a dedicated server on my old company it didn't use up 100 GB within a couple of days.
So, my question to you all here at Zen, is there something in my settings, etc. that might be causing people to spider it or hot link or something and now my store is causing havoc on the server? I have no clue what that last line, the apache thread one, means at all. I'm just a regular html gal that wants to run my store. I'm not ready for another dedicated server and am a little concerned.
Any direction you all have would be greatly appreciated.
