Attributes with image

Hi,
I want my customers to choose the color of the product by dropdown button, and then the product image to change into that color automaticly.
I know how to add atributes and make the dropdown button. Is this possible?

It should be possible, but is not a built-in feature and would require some serious programming.

You *can* add images for each attribute value, like a picture of each color labeled with the value text.

Seems like this would be easier with an independant Flash file (swf) in the product description.

In all my "spare time" I have been scrapping with trying to do something similar where there are additional images of options (i.e. red green blue or?) and trying to build on the JS hover over swap function but on-click instead so that the clicked image is swapped and then the product to be purchased is also swapped.

The JS for this swap is not too daunting but the php to swap products is where I am at.

I see multiple requests for a similar function, and am sure that there are more than one working on separate solutions. Maybe this thread will draw some of us into collaborating??
