zone based flat rates

i have 6 different zones (all within the same country) that i want to have different shipping costs for.

basically, it is for a flower shop that can only deliver within certain areas. i have set 'zones' up that reflect these areas, so when somebody signs up they select one of the zones.

but now i want to assign shipping rates to each one so when somebody comes to the checkout, zencart automatically knows (from when they signed up) which shipping rate to charge.

i have no idea how to do this or whether its possible?

I'm having the same problem here...

For now, I only want to sell to my country. I only deliver in Portugal and what I want is that, at the sign in process, the new customer has to choose one of 14 diferent zones available. Each of them will have a diferent flat rate.

Must I activate the display of the zones at sign in, somewhere?
What am I missing here? 8-/
