I think I'm missing something - sorry, but what is the question?

ok I thought I was being clever by putting what i thought was a question into the image.......sigh.
Under coupon description in the image it says "customer can see", what I would like to know is where is it that the customer can see it, because I have not been able to find anywhere the coupon description that I typed ("Grand opening promotion") is displayed.

Can I stop typing now?

If you would like more interest in your posts, and possibly more answers, I would ask full questions instead of drawing pretty pictures. It may just help others to answer your question.

As no-one else could crack your riddle, I'll offer a suggestion.

Look in functions_email.php around line 321->325. Maybe that will help you.

I give. I looked but I have brain block.... I think that I will just not worry about it and I will just make sure when I email the coupon I have a nice and complete description there.

And as to my original post I probably should included the question below the picture instead in it. Won't do it again have been duley chastised

Well I understood your intial post. I had the same problem for some reason and just let it lie as I have many other things to fix/do/worry about ATM. But I am going to look in that file and see if anything makes me

That is viewed in several places ....

1 The link to the Discount Coupon page for checking the value of a Discount Coupon ... peek at the information sidebox ...

2 In the checkout_blah ... there are several links once a Discount Coupon is applied to read what it is good for ...

3 When used as the Welcome Discount Coupon this is included in the email ...

A New Signup Discount Coupon ID# needs to be assigned for the coupon and it's description to show up in the welcome e-mail.

Configuration--> GV Coupons--> New Signup Discount Coupon ID#
