    Thanks Kelvyn.

    I've now run the SQL.

I copied the files in the Includes folder to the server, and the files in the Admin folder to Myadmin on the server. (did I need to do this?)

Before, and after, copying the files I do not have the extra payment module to install.

    What am I doing wrong?

OK, I've downloaded the module, run the SQL in Admin....now what?

I can't find any information anywhere (and I've tried!) to tell me how to install the module files. Do I just ftp everything to the includes/modules folder? There's no instructions!

Sorry, just finding the whole process extremely frustrating as there doesn't seem to be any information readily available.

It could just be me being thick, in which case I apologise...help! :)

Sorry about the lack of info in the install - it was originally for people who had used modules before.

OK, to cut to the basics, in the zip file, you'll see folders called
    admin
    includes

when you open your site via ftp, you'll see folders called
    admin
    includes

    Here's where it gets tricky:
everything in admin goes in admin, everything in includes goes in includes, retaining the folder structure, eg: You don't want to end up with the server files like
    admin>admin>orders.php

To put it another way: get both "sides" of the transfer looking the same, so you can see admin and includes, then just drag both admin and includes into that top level on the server. So that the folders are not going inside any other folder, but the contents themselves end up in the right place.

    Ah I see!

Sorry, somehow I downloaded the previous version of the mod, which had a different folder layout. And I didn't think that you'd have to overwrite the original files on the server. Now I understand all those "backup everything before you try this" warnings!

Backing up now, then I'm going in.

    Many thanks =)

Assuming you have SOME sort of CC/Debit processor, then that is correct.

However, it's up to you to be ever so careful with that data - we use the "split card number" method, and wipe ALL associated card fields every night.

Following on from Clint and kelvyn's previous work I've compared virgin 1.3.0.1 and 1.3.5 files then added changes from kelvin's 1.3.0.1 mod to produce this 1.3.5 mod attached here:

    uk cc 1.3.5 mod.zip

It's working so far for me, but there were quite a few changes between 1.3.0.1 and 1.3.5 in /includes/classes/order.php in particular, so I should echo kelvin's warnings that this is a compare of a compare, so it really ought to be looked over and crash-tested first by someone more familiar with the new code before it can be considered fit for purpose.

Re: UK Switch / Maestro / Debit and Credit Card payment module

    Hi,

Just to let you know that there is no need for any of you to tinker with this old module any longer!

I've written a new Manual/Offline Card Payment Module for Zen Cart which, as of version 1.0.0 supports all the main UK cards, including full support for Switch/Maestro.

Also, the text in the module refers to "Card" rather than specifically calling cards "Credit Cards" so it is more accurate when you are offering support for Debit cards as well.

Here's the thread for the new module (released yesterday!):

    Ceon Manual Card Payment Module

Now no-one has to suffer old hacked together payment modules for UK cards!

As I've said in the main thread, any feedback is appreciated (as are donations towards support/development)!

    All the best...

    Conor

Argh! I did exactly the same, like, 2 days ago! Just selfishly never got round to posting it.
