Shipping based on order total

Got a client that would like to do exactly what's done at this site.

One option is to add shipping after an order is taken but...

Trying to make this as hands-free as possible.

If I understand you correctly, you want to set the carriage price, according to the order total - right? This is currently available with the table shipping module. You can either set it according to either the cart weight, or the cart total price.

If you want to setup multiple methods, such as Overnight, 3 day delivery etc, then I would suggest copying this shipping class, and renaming it, as many times as you need. You'll also need to copy thre languages file.

Thanks for the help.

Went to admin and removed all but table shipping. Installed and set table for rates. Rechecked format $$$:$$.$$, several times.

Cart still freezes on step 1 of 3 in checkout.
