    1. Find a payment solution that dosnt require your customers to leave your site then return to it.
    2. Put a tag in bold red letters that they must hit the return to cart link otherwise their order will not be completed. ( works about 1 1/3 of the time ) no one reads directions....



    logging in to the front side is the simplest and easiest way to view the cart contents and you will need to complete the order process and get top checkout success to complete the order...

    You only need to turn the stock cc module,. named CC not free charger...
    on when you get to checkout_shipping
    then once you get through confirmation and back to checkout_success ( about 30 Seconds ) you can turn it off again.... this will now complete the order....

    Hi, I had a similar situation, however I am NOT the coder. My site went live recently and had my first order! YEH! The order did not show up but the new customer was added. I'm using Paypal for payment and only realized that I had an order when I received an email from Paypal that I had $ added in my account. I can't get a hold of my web designer, any help is appreciated. Thanks

    your gonna have to call the customer on that one,

    one you go into admin make sure that the email address thats in the
    admin-> modules-> paypal -> business ID

    is the exact same that is in www.paypal.com -> profiles -> email settings -> primary

    make sure that its case sensitive...

    Hi: I've had the same situation in some orders after to open my store, not much but several (6-7) in a total of 400 orders or so.

    I've seen that ALL the cases with such a problem, have been of european customers: german, finnish, french, etc never for people using $USD as currency. So, I ask myself if the issue will have something to do with the change of currencie to euro when the buyer select that option to calculate better their purchase. Just an feeling, not something demonstrable

    Also, I can see when a buyer is adding products to their basket until finish in real time, then when they goes to checkout, the list dissapear. Is there any way to get that list again, so no need to ask the buyer case that a fail in the order occurs and the Paypal IPN payment be received.?
    In that way, using the master password option, it would be so easy to generate the order using CC, and no need to ask the buyer for the items they bought. avoiding nerve attacks.
    Of course, I am talking of downloadable items, what is my case

    Hi Merlin, I've tried this a while ago with a new order problem and it doesn't work.

    I always get the message that the credit card begining by 4111 is not a valid credit card.

    I've tried adding 123 at the end and using 123 as security code in the field below of the expire date..

    The CC module never accept it.

    Any ideas?

    Unfortunately this is not always possible. The Dutch iDeal payment system, for example, which is a popular payment method for online consumers in the Netherlands, was designed by the participating banks so that the customer must leave the store to visit the bank's internet banking page. Moreover, the banks opted *not* to provide automatic notification to the store upon payment completion, so there is no automated feedback to use to finish processing an order even if the customer doesn't return.

    I sailed around this problem in the iDeal module for Zen Cart by prematurely storing the order to the database with an order status of 0 (zero), which is not a valid ZC order status, just before the customer leaves the store to visit the banking site. If the customer returns, there are two orders (the premature placeholder order, and the real order--for reasons unique to the iDeal payment system, there is no way to reuse the placeholder order via e.g. JeffD's External Order Number Generator if the customer returns after paying). If the customer does not return, you still have the placeholder order to fall back on if it turns out they did indeed pay (and thus meant to place the order). An admin Transaction Viewer automates cleanup of failed/expired transactions and the associated zero-status orders, as well as conversion of zero-status orders to real orders when applicable.

    Something similar might work for other payment modules where people are experiencing problems.
