    Default meta_tags.php file

    Hopefully someone can help.

I have a lot of main categories on my site and Zen-Cart is automatically generating keywords in the meta content, using the names of the categories. Google isn't indexing my site very well at all and I think this may be a factor beacuse there are far too many keywords.

How can I turn this off and just enter my own keywords? Is there any way of entering keywords for each category?

    Many thanks,

Go into Admin > Catalog > Categories/Products and on the right hand side under Action you will see a black & white symbol. Click on this for a category and you can add your own meta tags.

It has the symbol beside each product but not each category.

That's a bit odd. Which version of Zen Cart are you using? I have it on categories and sub-categories (as well as products) for all my v1.3.0.1 sites.

Unfortunately, category meta tags weren't introduced until version 1.3.0.
