    Default Sessions Error Messages

    My site has been working fine for awhile and when I looked at it today, I saw the following error messages at the top. There are also the same errors when I go to admin.

    Warning: session_save_path(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/html/catalog/cache) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home:/tmp:/usr) in /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 154

    Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php:154) in /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 111

    Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php:154) in /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 111

    Since I haven't changed anything at all, I thought my host mightve done something. When I contacted them, they just told me to make sure my session setting were correct. Well, since I never did change anything before, I am not really sure what I am looking for. I did notice that for the first warning, I cannot find a file nor directory of /var/www/html/catalog/cache.

    Go to Admin->Configuration->Sessions
    Change your Session Write Directory to:
    /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/cache

    I am unable to log in to admin. It gives these warnings when I try:

    Warning: session_save_path(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/html/catalog/cache) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home:/tmp:/usr) in /home/luckykat/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 154

    Grab the "Fix_Cache_Key" utility to reset your Admin->Sessions->Session Directory key:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=82

    Simply upload the file to your NEW Zen Cart folder and open fix_cache_key.php in your browser. It will give you status messages. Delete fix_cache_key.php when you're finished.

    I was trying to run duplicate shop on a subdomain for testing something, so I set my sessions to 'db' and SQL cache to 'database'. But I still get safe mode warnings:

    Warning: session_save_path(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10040 is not allowed to access /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/dvdguy/httpdocs owned by uid 10037 in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/dvdguy/subdomains/shop/httpdocs/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 143

    Why is the script checking for the file location if I set session storage to the database?

    thanks
