Let me see if I am getting this

1. I can't set attributes for a category until i have at least one product in that category.

2. After I have set the attributes for that 1 product and I can then copy the attributes to the category.

3. products that i then add to that category will automatically pick up those attributes without further intervention by me


or is it

that I can't copy the attributes to the category itself, from a product within that category, I would have to enter my new products and then copy the attributes from the first product to all the rest.


I have it easy compared to some as I do not have to many attributes per product and all attributes for product are the same within each category. I am just trying to figure out the smoothest way to do this. (lazy)

Get one product all set up, including the attributes. Then add your other products and then copy the attribs to all of the products.
