Thanks for updating this contribution!
Unfortunately, I'm having a bit of trouble. It's not working for me and I expect it's a conflict with Image Handler.
Cart version: 1.3.5
I first tried merging the Image Handler code into the image swap files and uploading, then I just uploaded the image swap files as-is with no adjustments.
In both cases, images behaved in the same way as before: mousing over them does nothing, and clicking them brings the pop up window.
Has anyone gotten this working with a 1.3 site using Image Handler? Any tips? Thanks!
Yes I agree with you that its not working with Image Handler, I am tyring to compare the two files additional_images.php and main_image.php. I think this is the caused of the problem. For now its one or the other, I know that on the older contributions, both work together with ease.
I didn't make an Image-Handler-Compatible edition as yet ...

ok..i think that's my problem too. didn't know it wasn't compatible with IH, yet..
Originally they didn't. But after I tried and failed to merge the two, Dr. Byte so kindly updated the mod. Unfortunately again I'm at a crossroads and image handler is more important than this mod.

Yea im trying to merge it too, but not too good with php. I looked at the old conribution and the new and it looks the same to me, dont' know where to start to get both of these working. I think both contributions are important, cause I really don't like popups, since some people like me disable popups.
Hi, I installed the latest version of the Swap Images plugin, and I am having a couple of problems.
1) The original image loads properly, but the additional images are the small version of the art being scaled up. (why won't the plug-in see *_MED.jpg?)
2) The rollover images(not the thumbnails) are being stretched without regard to original image proportion. (is this a admin->images setting?)
Here is my site:

You probably have "use proportional images" set in the admin > images area check...
On another note; Your images are differing sizes and this is one of the reasons they are distorting. If you use photoshop(maybe similar in other packages) you can create a matt for a specific size pic i.e. 200x160, then create an action in PS to place all your images into this matt. You end up with all pics the same size. Some might have a white border either l&r or Top & bottom, but this will not be evident as your back ground is white. Do this for each pic size you have defined in the admin > images area(actually only 2 product listing & product info) as the remainder a mirrors of these. Also insure that the proportions between sizes remain the same, i.e. 100x80 is 4x5 as is 200x160.
Lastly, most of your images are 35+k in file size and if you are using the normal med & larg defaults these are large for a 100x80 image that only requires 4k or less to look good and for 200x160 around 6k is all that is required. This will also keep your site load time at the lowest possible.

ADMIN > IMAGES > Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories = 0
I will take your advice on using a standard image size.
But that still does not explain why the small image is being used and not *****_#_MED.jpg
