help with Fastway Shipping Module

Can anyone please help

I am wanting to use Fastway as my prefered courier and not auspost but i can only find this module in oscommerce, does anyone know of one for zencart???

Or, would someone know how to convert the os version into zencart

any help would be greatful

Hello, I hope you can assist me?

I've used Zencart to build a Shopping Cart website which is almost done, my only problem is the Shipping Cart module... I am in Australia and the Shipping Cart module does not suit the Australian based Courier Company I am using. I am using a Company called Fastways and Australia Post, everything is good to go with Australia Post, yet the Fastways isn't. Can you custom build the shipping cart to identify with the Fastways Company, if yes, how much would this cost and how long would it take for this to be implemented into my site?

I've had a number of requests to write a Fastway Shipping module for Zencart.
Steve Kemp from Snowtech Services has written a Fastway Shipping module for OSCommerce, so there's no need to write one - just port it across.

I'm currently in the process of doing this, and should have it ready for user testing soon.

The good news!! - I have a working Fastway module currently running on my Zencart v1.3.0.2

I have not done any testing of this module other than
1./ Confirm that it installs without error
2./ It appears to calculate the shipping correctly based on the current zone tables
3./ It completes the checkout process without error.

I did have some issues(timeouts) installing the SQL patch for this MOD. It has over 11,500 database entries.

I now need to document the installation process before I package it. I plan to make it available as a downloadable link so users can test it first. Once users confirm that the Fastway shipping module is infact working correctly, I will submit it to the Zencart team for inclusion in the downloadd section.

You are an Angel!!!!! You've excited me to no ends!!!! Hooray! I've searched high and low, sent out that many emails, joined that many forums and hola'd out that many times and your the first person to come back, I am so grateful to you! So excited! Your a gem!

Fastways pricing is so competitive and I've contacted them on several occasions to see if they could help on this side of it to no avail, which is really quite a shame because it potentially means more business for them if they realised this. Many people are getting online with shopping carts for good reason, and if Fastways can't see the value in getting the code worked out, everyone ultimately has to go elsewhere or make it a manual process which defeats the whole shopping cart experience of automation...

Honestly it is people like you, who take the time to do the coding, who put together Zencart, modules etc, that people like Fastways and so forth should be paying you for! I am happy to pay you for this, REALLY! So please dont hesitate to hola out a payment to show my gratitude for your time taken.

OK here it is!
I had to iron out a few more bugs before submitting it here.

The original osCommerce package was supplied with a very large SQL file which caused timeouts each time I uploaded it. To get around this problem I have split the file into 4 seperate files - instructions for installing the 4 SQL files and the package are included.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not a user of this module, nor am I familiar with how to configure the rates etc.

If you are certain you have the rates setup correctly, but the calculated shipping cost is wrong, there are a few things you can check:
- check that you have completed step 1 of the installation
- is the website GST setup correctly
- is Tax Class configured in the shipping module

If the module seems to install OK, but the module doesn't appear during the checkout process, make sure you have a Sort Order value in the module configuration.

Hello Greg

I have just installed the fastway shipping module and i have come up with 2 errors, the first is when i install the module in shipping modules (1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's so 500 grams would be 0.500', '6', '0', now())' at line 1) and the second is on the website (1146 Table '****_zc2.fastway_zones' doesn't exist), i am using zencart v1.2.7, can you please help
