That's interesting that you don't offer the outback zone 5 rates because you don't get much call for them (and they're expensive). How do you think I will go if I just leave the module the way it is? Specifically, do you think the shipping destination estimates will be adequate for the majority of customers? I could just get people to email me for a quote if they can't get the shipping calculated by my site. I suppose that would be ok if it happens only occasionally. Google analytics tells me the overwhelming majority of hits I'm receiving are from Sydney & Melbourne anyway...

    Cheers,
    Sam

I offer Australia Post shipping options in addition to Fastway and find that most customers choose AusPost for the farther/more expensive destinations.

Not that my case is anything to go by, but I rarely get customers choosing zone 3 or 4 over AusPost options.

Unfortunately my common parcel sizes are oversize (52x52x34) but still within the max weight being 17.5kg each. Do you think Aus post would take it?

I have the latest Ex-Brisbane Transhipment schedule - I'll PM it to you.

Blueeyedfrog, you'd have to take an example down to the post office and have them check and confirm for you.

FYI All Fastway Shipping Module Users

Recently I created a new set of SQL for ex-Newcastle transshipment and found that I had to change my Excel spreadsheet that generates the SQL to specify 'zen_fastway_zones' instead of 'fastway_zones'.

The version of the Fastway Module that I'm using is referencing 'zen_fastway_zones'. I believe older versions reference 'fastway_zones'.

If you are experiencing difficulties, please look into this likely discrepancy.

    Cheers
    GAM

NOTE: Ex-Sydney SQL zone data that I posted some months (and pages) back specify the older 'fastway_zones' not the later 'zen_fastway_zones'.

    Hi Gam,

Any luck with the ex Brisbane Transschedule spreadsheet I sent you?

Also, I am still having the problem with all deliveries showing next day delivery time - any suggestions on how to fix this anyone?

    Cheers
    Sam

    Hi Blueeyedfrog

My apologies. I did make a good start. There were several differences in format and values compared to the two versions that I've dealt with so far. I spent a few hours including provisions for the differing values and layout but then got distracted by other pressing matters. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get back to it.

Another member has requested the same via PM. To both of you, can you give me up to another week to get the spreadsheet in order? I think once I have done this I will make it available for others to manipulate to suit their own purposes.

Regarding the 'Next Day' issue. I recall having to deal with that myself and believe (iirc) the issue lies in the fastway.php code that transforms the 'shorthaul' and 'local' identifiers in the database to 'Same Day', 'Next Day' or 'xx days'. Once I have a chance to complete your transshipment schedule, I will try to find the code snippet that I'm referring to and let you know.

    Sorry for the delays.

    Cheers
    GAM

I have just installed a test version of this mod. It seems to be pretty good. I only noticed that Perth CBD (6000) is not in the database.

Is it possible to adjust the "next days Delivery" text to reflect the zone delivery time?
