    Default Display Problem after upgrade

    Hello,

While upgrading from the previous version to the 3.1.0.1, I have also installed the corresponding french language pack. I now have displaying issues that weren't there before.

    With EXPLORER
The french version does not show the accents, they look like chinese caracters. However, if I insert an accent in the english page, they show with any problem.

    With FIREFOX
On the top left corner, the following caracters appear : »¿ï»¿ï»¿ï»¿. However, the french accents appear correctly...

    In both BROWSERS
The logo and the language flags are surrounded with a border that was not there in the previous version.

    Site's url www.advitam.com

    Can anyone help ?

    Thank you
    Pierre

    Hi,
No the language looks like it's correctly defined in french.php.
Furthermore, funnily enough accents do appear correctly in firefox on one hand, and in both explorer and firefox in the english pages. I put accents on my english home page and they appear correclty.
    Any other ideas ?

Even if I delete french.php. And I copy english.php into french.php, the problem remains. Accents are visible on the english version, not on the french.
Don't understand what's happening but it doesn't seem like it comes from this file.

When I replace the special caracters by their entities (http://www.tcd.ie/html/char.html) then the page appears correctly. I don't really understand.

Does your charset has been properly configured from your french.php and differently from your english.php file ?

    Solution.
For those interested, I experienced too many problems with the french version developped by Jean Gourdon. I downloaded another translation developed by "Oeildefeu" on the french zencart support site, and everything seems to be working smoothly.

Great thanks for this update. It will also be useful, for me, since I was already working on the updated translations of the french pack in order to fit in the latest releases of Zen Cart.
