Could I be Hacked? - [Not Hack Attempt]

If someone can help with this I will greatly appreciate it.

I received an order from a customer stating they wanted to pay with a Money order. But when I sent her an invoice for the amount due, she said she paid with a credit card! I just had another customer state the same thing. Could someone be hacking my site? Why are the orders showing that the customers want to pay with a money order when in fact they have inputted their credit card info on my site?

Please help!

I have taken my site down so no orders can be placed.

Filling in the Credit card numbers and checking the Check/Money Order Radio button is not unheard of ...

Check for yourself that you can make both a CC and a Money Order checkout successfully ...

If you can, then check the emails you received and send a copy to your customers and explain that while they may have wanted to order by CC, they selected Money Order and their CC info never was processed ...

I am assuming you are using the Manual cc.php for your Credit Cards ...

If you are using a true Credit Card Payment Module, be sure to verify that nothing was ever processed ...

but ... this sounds like the layout display is allowing customers to enter the credit card info but then pick Check/Money Order on the Radio Button ... and you may need to adjust your display so it is more apparent ...

Yes Iam using the Manual cc.php for Credit Cards and I process each one separately.

This question really ought to go in a new thread, as it doesn't really have anything to do with the earlier questions on hacking and payment modules (though I can see where your thinking is going).

However ... there is no way of increasing radio button size in a way that works across all browsers and operating systems. in fact anything to do with forms is rather difficult to style consistently.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. I'd say a good 1 of every 250 sales or so this happens to me. The customer fills out all the credit card info but checks money order instead of credit card and the cc info is discarded. Whenever someone wants to pay with check/money order I switch the order status over to processing and drop a note saying 'personal checks are subject to a 2 week hold. money orders are processed immediately. to change payment methods please call blah blah.'

they usually call and change the payment method.
