That removed some of the white space in firefox.

Now I've removed the white space from IE7 using an horrendous bodge (div class="backheader") that will probably have the gurus weeping tears of frustration. Any ideas how to do this more cleanly?

It would be better if you did not "hijack" an older thread. It makes a lot of folks say, "Been there -- Done that" and you'll get passed over for help.

Plus, it's seldom that problems are exactly the same.

In your case, you put the image that you want to use as the header background into the logo div vs somewhere more appropriate. In your case, I'd put your image in the logoWrapper and set the logo to not display.

Using the firebug add-on to firefox, I can turn off most of the css calls you have made in that area with no affect on the final look.

IE is pretty finicky while FF will sorta roll with the flow.

check out your site at http://validator.w3.org/. see if fixing the errors won't help IE.

I see that it doesn't like "&" this sign and I see that there is are a few parsing errors... Then I found line 249
