Sorry about posting my style sheet and thank you both for your help.

Removing the sugested line from the tpl_header.php has solved the problem in FireFox but there is still a small whitespace showing in explorer it looks to be 1 or 2 pixels much smaller than before.

Could it be the problems that dbltoe pointed out in the style sheet? If so what do I need to edit to resolve the errors. Thanks again.
