    dazed and confused

    Hi there
    PLease could somebody help me , ..... I have installed apache friends xampp on my computer and now i am trying to get the zen cart to run .. i cant .. i am not sure as to what to do as i am all new to this and i am trying to set up an internet shop ... so i wanted to run it on my pc Windows XP to learn PLease could somebody help ... I have tried to follow the instructions but nothing .....

    Create a folder called Zen (or whatever you like) inside the XAMPP htdocs folder, and copy/paste the contents of the 'zen-cart-v1.3.0.1-full-fileset' into the new folder (or just rename that folder to something more manageable and drop that intot he htdocs folder).

    Go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin and create a new blank database.

    Go to http://localhost/zen and start the install.

    Once the install is complete rename or delete the install folder. Go to the zen/includes/configure.php file, right-click, select Properties, and tick the Read Only box.

    That should be it.

    thank you VGER , i have got it running now .... wow it is piece of art !!!!! i am now looking at trying to figure out how to customise it ... you dont by any chance know which files i can tamper with and which ones are the core files ??? i have never worked with this code PHP and CSS , i have only expereince ( a little ) with flash .....
