Attributes and discount pricing

I want to sell shirts (small-xxxl) I added the attributes, for each shirt is 11.99 and xxxl is $2 more. My problem comes along when I go to product manager and add a discount quantity option. My goal is if a person buys 1-11 shirts, its still 11.99 (13.99 for xxxl) 12-36 at 8.99 (10.99 for xxxl) and 37+ at 7.99 (9.99 for xxxl)
When I set this in the discount quantity, prices for the shirts do not change in the cart, and the xxxl comes out 2x more expensive.
Any ideas?

Discount Quantities are for Products ...

There are, however, Attribute Quantity Discounts on each Attribute as you are adding them ...

A good idea is to make a test site with a test database with the demo products ...

This allows you to see, test, play with all kinds of features and functions and Products and Product Types ... that will really help you to better understand Zen Cart, the Pricing, Attributes, etc. etc. etc.

There is a section of Products that has the Attribute Quantity Discounts built in so that you can see how this might be done ...

I think I got the attribute qty price discount working.
11:0,36:-3,37:-4

Only thing is, that it shows as PRICE $0.00 $-3.00 $-4.00. If I put actual price there, it comes up as add +xxx to the 11.99 base
