Featured Products Columns per Row not working

My "Featured Products Columns per Row" (admin > configuration > index listing) is set to 3 but i can only see 1 product per row in my featured products.

Anybody got any experience with this? Can i fix this manually in either;

featured_products.php
tpl_featured_products_default.php
tpl_modules_featured_products.php
